The Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB) has successfully conducted the HSLC Examination, 2025 from 15th February to 3rd March 2025. The HSLC Exam 2025 began smoothly with 4,22,679 candidates appearing for the first day’s English exam, representing 98.42% of the total 4,29,449 registered students. The examination was held in more than 900 exam centres throughout Assam. Now that the exam concluded on 3rd March 2025, over 4 lakh students are eagerly awaiting the results of their first major examination in life. This year, the Assam HSLC Result will be declared on 11th April 2025 at 10:30 AM by ASSEB.
On 17th March 2025, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced during a Facebook LIVE session that HSLC students will receive extra marks in their Social Science subject. This decision comes in response to numerous complaints raised about the difficulty level of questions in the examination. The Chief Minister acknowledged the concerns expressed by students and parents regarding the challenging nature of the Social Science paper and assured that appropriate measures would be taken to address this issue through the allocation of additional marks. This announcement has brought relief to many students who struggled with the unexpectedly difficult questions in their Social Science examination.
