Job Purpose-
To ensure the effective implementation and maintenance of occupational health, safety, and environmental standards in compliance with legal regulations and company policies within the food manufacturing facility.
Key Responsibilities-
✓ Safety Compliance & Implementation:
- Monitor and ensure adherence to occupational health and safety (OHS) legislation and food safety standards such as HACCP, ISO 22000, etc.
✓ Risk Management:
- Identify, assess, and mitigate workplace hazards including chemical, mechanical, and biological risks.
✓ Training & Awareness:
- Conduct safety training programs and promote a culture of safety awareness among employees.
✓ Incident & Emergency Management:
- Respond to and investigate safety incidents, ensuring timely corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain safety records, prepare reports, and coordinate with internal and external safety authorities as required.
✓ Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Knowledge of local labor laws, safety regulations, and food industry standards (GMP, HACCP, ISO 45001, ISO 22000) preferred.
- Experience in a food manufacturing or similar industrial setup will be an added advantage.
